This is AKTU’s official Course Structure & Evaluation Scheme for the B.Tech first year, effective from the 2026-27 session as per the AICTE Model Curriculum and NEP 2020. It sets out both semesters for every stream and branch, and includes the Standard Operating Procedures for General Proficiency, the Innovation & Design Thinking Lab and AICTE Activity Points. The detailed unit-wise syllabus of each subject is in the stream PDFs listed below.

At a glance

  • Starts with a 3-week Student Induction Programme.
  • 21 credits and 900 marks per semester (L-T-P 16-4-10).
  • Nine streams covering 48 branches; your stream decides your Physics, Chemistry, Maths and engineering subjects.
  • Six subject pairs swap between Semester I and II: the syllabus is the same, only the code changes (1xx in Sem I, 2xx in Sem II).
  • Theory: 30 internal + 70 external. Labs: 50 + 50. General Proficiency: 50 marks, internal, non-credit.
