Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU), Lucknow, has issued a reminder dated 21 October 2026 regarding the implementation of the Mukhyamantri Apprenticeship Protsahan Yojana (Higher Education) [CM-APS(HE)] and the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS). The circular, addressed to Directors and Principals of AKTU-affiliated institutions, emphasizes completing the required institutional registration and compliance procedures to promote apprenticeship training opportunities for graduate and diploma holders.

According to the notice, affiliated colleges must register their institutions and update their profiles on the NATS portal, nominate a nodal officer to coordinate scheme publicity and awareness activities, and submit the officer’s name, designation, mobile number, and email address to the university. Institutions are also instructed to take steps to engage eligible graduate and diploma holders as apprentices in departments such as libraries, laboratories, accounts, administration, and innovation cells. Colleges must organize awareness programmes or meetings for students and staff in coordination with the Board of Apprenticeship Training (Northern Region), Kanpur.
